Alameda High School
We are pleased to have our first IB Continuum Programme in Colorado with the MYP, DP and CP all at Alameda International High School. Building Principal Susie Van Scoyk and DP Coordinator Mindy Sautel work closely together to support the IB programs at their building. They offer a full MYP to all students and open access DP. Inquiry questions are posted around the building. Key concepts are posted in classrooms. The school has 90% students on free and reduced lunch and thrilled to be able to offer the IB program to their community.
Aspen High School
Aspen High School has approximately 575 students; with between 100-125 taking at least one IB course. Students as Aspen High School have an opportunity to be involved in various CAS experiences, including working with a school in Argentina. Many students work with elementary schools in a Room to Read program. In addition to the IB program, many students are involved in a special aviation program where students have the opportunity to earn FAA certification for private pilot’s license as well as other certifications. A special thanks to DP Coordinator Tameira Wilson for the tour!
