Officers Biographies |
Dan Augenstein, Past President. Dan is the DiplomaCoordinator at Greeley West High School in Greeley, Colorado. He is an IBNA Workshop Leader for IB Diploma Coordination and IB Visual Arts. Along with being an assistant examiner in IB Visual Arts, he also participates in authorization visits for IBNA. Dan, and his wife, are passionate about art, traveling, and being grand-parents. He has been a coordinator since 1997 and a member of IBARMS during that time. Roger Dowd, President. Roger is Diploma Coordinator at Thornton High School in the Adams 12 Five-Star District in Colorado. He consults with schools implementing both MYP and Diploma programs, and the matriculation issues that can arise. Roger lives in Arvada, CO with his wife and two children, and spends his spare time cooking and learning new languages. He has been with IBARMS since its inception in 2000. Dorsee Johnson-Tucker, President-Elect. Dorsee is Diploma Coordinator at Lakewood High School in Lakewood, CO for Jefferson County Schools. Dorsee still teaches two classes of IB 20th Century World History and coordinates the IB program. She has been active with IBARMS since 2002. Currently living in Lakewood, Dorsee loves to read for her history class, travel and provide leadership to schools in the application process. Glenda Nachtrieb, IBARMS Secretary, is currently counselor and DP Coordinator Designee at Loveland High School and is celebrating her 30th year in education in Colorado. She has a BA in Hearing Impaired and Social Science, and an MA in Education with emphasis in School Counseling. She and her husband of 32 years have two grown children. Glenda sponsors the Art Club, speaks on education preparation, helps with athletics, coordinates testing, leads professional learning communities, and loves her job. Jan Lotter, Treasurer. Jan is Diploma Coordinator at Hinkley High School in Aurora, CO, as well as MYP Coordinator at Aurora Hills Middle School. She participates in MYP authorization visits for IBNA and is a consultant for new schools implementing MYP. She gets rave reviews in leading training workshops for MYP Coordinators. Jan loves to camp and travel, especially to Maui. She has been with IBARMS since 2002. Lisa King, MYP Member at Large, Executive Board. Lisa is MYP Coordinator at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, CO. She also teaches Level 5 Language A and Theory of Knowledge in Poudre’s DP. Lisa consults for new MYP schools and serves on the IB Middle Years Committee, which has allowed her to visit lovely Cardiff, Wales for the past few years. During the summers, she and her husband love to jump in their RV with the dogs and explore the US when they can afford the gas. She has been with IBARMS since 2001. Patricia Wetmore, At-large Diploma Representative, is the Diploma Coordinator at Smoky Hill High School in the Cherry Creek School District. In addition to her role as coordinator, Patricia teaches IB and AP Psychology. Patricia lives in Centennial with her husband, three children and 2 cats! Her escape from life’s stressors lies in her flower gardens. She has been with IB ARMS since 2004. Nanci Morse, Conference Director. Nanci has taught IB courses since 1991 and has been a member of IB-ARMS since
2002. She is currently the Summit District IB Coordinator and teaches
English A1 and Theory of Knowledge. In her spare time, Nanci enjoys
the outdoors with her family in beautiful Summit County. Suzi Geimer, Past President (2000-2002) Diploma Coordinator at George Washington High School in Denver, CO. She serves as a Diploma Mentor and on the visiting accreditation team for IBNA. Suzi has been with IBARMS since before its official "birth" in 2000. Lori Dowd, Executive Director, helps the IBARMS volunteer officers carry out the IBARMS mission. She has previously managed adult education programs at Colorado State University, the University of Denver, and Colorado Free University. She works from home in Arvada, CO when not chasing or driving her two children around. |
